Emery KALAMBA is the Founder and Managing   Partner of KALAMBA & ASSOCIES, considered to be one of the leading firms in mining. He has an extensive expertise in project financing, related to mineral exploration and mining.

The Firm regularly advise the major mining companies on all matters relating to mining assets and the conversion, acquisition and disposal of mining rights or titles. Typical transactions include due diligence on local mining companies or titles, joint ventures and shareholders agreements, acquisitions and disposal, royalties and mine construction and mine operation agreements

Juris Doctor from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), he has been trained both in Europe (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and in the United States (LLM, Georgetown University Law Center, Washington DC ).

Emery KALAMBA worked for eight years for a Washington DC based Law Firm DUNCAN, ALLEN & MITCHELL, where he handled various projects in the sector of foreign investments. Emery is  a member of Kananga and Kinshasa Bars. He was the Vice-Minister of Justice (1994), and assumed the function of Legal Advisor in charge of mining for the Vice Prime Minister of Mines (1996) and for the Governor of the Central Bank (1997-1999). He is currently a Senator and Vice-President of the Foreign Affairs Commission .
